Picture of New Mother and Baby
"I feel very lucky to have delivered my baby at Holy Family. From the time I arrived to the time I was discharged the staff was professional and very caring. I was a little nervous going into the delivery room. My nurse held my hands and put her forehead to mine and totally put me to ease. The staff is very special and made my experience the best it could be."

Thousands of New Englanders have been born at Holy Family and we continue to welcome some 1,500 babies delivered here every year. Our program is ranked in the Top 10 percent Nationwide for overall patient satisfaction. Our maternity unit boasts all private rooms, Jacuzzi tubs, 24/7 room service, birthing and baby care classes, and much more aimed at making each delivery a comfortable, joyous experience.

For premature babies or those who need advanced medical care, Holy Family’s Regionally Designated Level II Special Care Nursery offers 24/7 advanced care for babies by Children’s Hospital neonatologists.

Holy Family and Children’s Hospital Boston

Thanks to our partnership with Children’s Hospital Boston, newborns and their families have access to world class neonatal care, right here at Holy Family. Children’s Hospital neonatologists staff our Special Care Nursery, working closely with community obstetricians, maternal/fetal specialists, community pediatricians and pediatric specialists to ensure optimal coordination of care. In the event that neonatal patients require the most critical care, they have access to clinical services in the Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Caritas St. Elizabeth’s in Boston, or Children’s Hospital Boston.
